'Download' the Firmware

NOTE: If you're having issues downloading the Firmware from the Website, try right-click and "Save Target As" or try another Internet Browser.


How to 'Update' the Firmware (with a Remote)


Step 1: Download the Zip File

  • Please download the Zip File linked above, and follow the instructions below to update your S7090PVR.
  • Once downloaded, extract the contents of the Zip File directly onto a USB Flash Drive.
  • Insert the USB Flash Drive into the USB Port on Back of the S7090PVR.


Step 2: Open the Menu

  • Press the MENU button on the Remote Control.
  • Select Installation → S/W Upgrade via USB.
  • Use the ◀ ▶ ▼ ▲ buttons on the Remote to navigate the Menu.



Step 3: Update the Firmware

  • Select S/W Upgrade via USB, press OK.
  • Enter the PIN (Default PIN is 0000), when prompted "Password Please".



Step 4: Update Complete

  • The S7090PVR will search the connected USB Flash Drive, and begin updating the Firmware, if found.
  • Once the Firmware Update has completed, the S7090PVR will reboot, and return to Live TV.
  • Remove the USB Flash Drive.



NOTE: If the Software Update takes less than one minute to complete, the S7090PVR has been unable to detect the file on your USB Flash Drive. Ensure the Software Update file is in a folder "DISH_TV" on your USB Flash Drive.


How to 'Update' the Firmware (without a Remote)


Step 1: Download the Zip File

  • Please download the Zip File linked above, and follow the instructions below to update your S7090PVR.
  • Once downloaded, extract the contents of the Zip File directly onto a USB Flash Drive.


Step 2: Remove the Power

  • Remove the power from the S7090PVR, by unplugging or turning it off at the Wall Socket.
  • Insert the USB Flash Drive into the USB Port on Back of the S7090PVR.


Step 3: Update the Firmware

  • Press/Hold the MENU button on the Front Panel of the S7090PVR.
  • Reconnect the power to the S7090PVR, while still holding the MENU button on the Front Panel.
  • Continue to hold the MENU button as the S7090PVR powers on, until the Front Panel displays "USB".
  • Once "USB" displays on the Front Panel, release the MENU button.



Step 4: Update Complete

  • The S7090PVR will search the connected USB Flash Drive, and begin updating the Firmware, if found.
  • Once the Firmware Update has completed, the S7090PVR will reboot, and return to Live TV.
  • Remove the USB Flash Drive.
